Define the actual room requirement
Assess area, ceiling height, exposure, insulation, occupancy and operating hours together. Both an undersized and an unnecessarily oversized unit can produce an unsuitable result.
Match the system type to the use case
A wall-mounted unit may suit one room, while multi split, cassette, ducted, floor-ceiling or VRF systems for multiple zones and commercial spaces require project-level assessment.
Read the label for the complete equipment set
Check energy class, nominal capacity, SEER, SCOP, sound data and refrigerant against the exact indoor and outdoor model combination. A series name alone is not enough.
Confirm installation conditions before purchase
Indoor and outdoor locations, copper pipe length, drainage, service access and electrical supply can affect the scope of the quotation. A survey reduces avoidable installation surprises.
Compare equivalent quotation scopes
The quotation should identify the model set, included installation work, possible extra pipework, commissioning and service contact. Compare prices only where the equipment and work scope are equivalent.
